Leupold Scopes

Leupold Scopes – Leupold optics are known for their clarity and durability, and they have become one of the most popular brands among hunters and tactical shooters.  Originally, Leupold scopes catered to the high end market, however, in the last several years, they have also started making scopes for the mid-level market.  Leupold also recently acquired the Redfield brand name and has been making lower priced models under that label.  Many Leupold scopes are equipped with their proprietary Quantum Optical System which starts out with computer designed lead free glass lenses and then models receive a different combinations of optics features as they are assembled.  For example, Leupold scopes in the VX-1 series use the base lead free glass plus the MulitCoat 4 lens coating, and are purged with nitrogen gas.  The Leupold scopes in the VX-6 series use the same base lead free glass plus the Xtended Twilight lens coating, DiamondCoat 2 lens coating, blackened lens edges and filled with argon/krypton gas for a “second generation” waterproofing which provides absolute waterproof integrity.  Here’s a selection of the most popular Leupold scopes:
